About

This is a free WordPress website run by a book nerd.. Any stats I obtain through JetPack like number of unique monthly visitors is only shared with publishers to help my approval odds of receiving ARCs. They are not shared with anyone else.

I am working on making this website as accessible as possible.

Thank you!

About Me:

I am a 90’s baby with three dogs based Washington. I am happily married to the love of my life I met in college at San Diego State University where I obtained my BA in Journalism and Public Relations.

I have always had a love for writing and graphic design and have always been a huge technology nerd, so web design was the natural hobby I took up when I was laid off from my B2B technology role (due to lack of work) as an account coordinator working for a boutique PR firm. A lot of our clients were in cybersecurity, allowing me to have a deep understanding of how tech works and how to protect others while defending oneself online.

I am the nerd that will watch ICANN ceremonies because I am fascinated with the Internets endoints.

I am a weirdo thank you very much.

I only work directly with publishers for taking on new books for review. While I usually have 40 ARCs from Net Galley and Book Sirens, many do not come out for months so I regularly use my 7 library cards and I loved Half Priced Books. I do have a Kindle Unlimited membership as well but I do not leave book reviews on Amazon ever for ARCs.

In high school I was the editor for my school’s newspaper and I taught English online for 5 years, so I genuinely love reading and writing.

In the future I plan to potentially offer author services at affordable prices, so stay tuned! This will likely also include website consultations, social media, etc. If you are interested, feel free to email me for more details: almostallthecake@gmail.com

You can also feel free to utilize that email to let me know if there is a weird tech glitch or issue on the site as WordPress is not perfect but I love her.
